Understanding Al-Hajj
Al-Hajj moves between resurrection, the rites of pilgrimage, sacrifice, worship and the defense of believers who were wronged. It ties outward ritual to reverence, remembrance and awareness of Allah. This page intentionally separates the translated Quran text from IHSAYA's short educational summary.
The Surah begins with the upheaval of the Last Day and then points to stages of human creation as evidence of resurrection.
The rites of Hajj are connected with honoring what Allah made sacred and remembering Him.
Permission to fight is framed around people who were wronged and driven from their homes, not unchecked aggression.
