Why IHSAYA exists

IHSAYA is being built to help Muslims access essential Quran, prayer and daily-guidance tools without unnecessary clutter. The goal is to reduce the friction between intention and action, so opening the app feels calm rather than another source of noise.

Our mission

Quran • Prayer • Daily Guidance — one calm daily companion. IHSAYA brings Quran reading, prayer information and reminders, Qibla direction and practical Islamic guidance together, so everyday worship does not need to be scattered across several disconnected tools.

Product philosophy

  • Prefer local-first behavior for core functions where practical.
  • Explain limitations honestly, including calculated prayer times and sensor-based Qibla direction.
  • Treat privacy and religious-source quality as product requirements, not afterthoughts.

Calm, worship-focused design

IHSAYA deliberately avoids aggressive engagement patterns such as intrusive prompts, artificial urgency or noisy notifications. Visual design favors quiet color, clear hierarchy and enough space to read and reflect, so the product supports worship instead of competing with it.

Privacy philosophy

We aim to collect only what is reasonably necessary to operate and improve IHSAYA, explain how information is used in plain language, and give users control over permissions such as location and notifications. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.

Source and content philosophy

Religious and educational content should identify its sources rather than present itself as anonymous authority, and should be correctable when an issue is found. Our full approach to Quran sources, translations, prayer-time limitations and corrections is documented on the Sources & Editorial Policy page.

Multilingual direction

English is the baseline language for IHSAYA's website and app. Tamil is an active pilot, with core pages and a growing set of Learn articles available at ihsaya.com/ta. Additional languages are planned for future rollout as coverage matures; we would rather ship a language completely than leave it half-translated.
