Understanding Al-Jathiyah
Al-Jathiyah points to signs in the heavens, earth, human creation, animals, changing night and day, rain and wind. It contrasts following revelation with following desire and closes with nations kneeling for judgment before the record of their deeds. This page intentionally separates the translated Quran text from IHSAYA's short educational summary.
The Surah piles up familiar natural signs so that ordinary life itself becomes material for reflection.
A person who treats personal desire as final authority is contrasted with someone who follows revelation.
The closing judgment scene emphasizes written deeds and accountability rather than self-description.
Editorial basis: the Quran text and attributed translation on this page. See IHSAYA Sources for the editorial sourcing standard.
