Understanding Al-Mumtahanah
Al-Mumtahanah addresses loyalty during conflict, uses Ibrahim's principled separation from idolatry as an example, distinguishes hostile enemies from people who are not fighting believers, and gives guidance for believing women who migrate. This page intentionally separates the translated Quran text from IHSAYA's short educational summary.
The Surah warns against giving intimate strategic loyalty to active enemies of the believing community.
People who are not fighting or expelling believers are not treated the same as active aggressors.
Ibrahim's example shows that love of truth can create painful boundaries without erasing justice.
