Understanding An-Najm
An-Najm defends the reliability of prophetic revelation, rejects major pagan goddesses as invented names, reminds people that wishful thinking cannot replace truth, and closes by directing worship toward Allah alone. This page intentionally separates the translated Quran text from IHSAYA's short educational summary.
The Prophet's message is distinguished from speech driven merely by desire.
Inherited idol names are exposed as labels without divine authority behind them.
Human desire for a preferred outcome is contrasted with revelation and final accountability.
Editorial basis: the Quran text and attributed translation on this page. See IHSAYA Sources for the editorial sourcing standard.
Reflection prompts
- Where might I be treating what I want to be true as though it were actually true?
- What belief in my life rests mostly on inherited labels rather than clear evidence?
