Understanding An-Nur
An-Nur protects community dignity through rules on sexual conduct, accusations, privacy and modesty. The Surah also presents the famous light imagery and repeatedly links clean social behavior with obedience to Allah and His Messenger. This page intentionally separates the translated Quran text from IHSAYA's short educational summary.
The Surah treats unsupported accusations and gossip as serious harms to individuals and the community.
Guidance on gaze, clothing, entering homes and private times builds boundaries that protect dignity.
The light passage places guidance inside a wider call to worship, remembrance and willing obedience.
