Understanding Al-Mulk
Al-Mulk opens by affirming that all sovereignty belongs to Allah, who created life and death as a test of who does best in deeds. It moves through signs in the creation of the heavens, warnings to those who deny the Hereafter, and a reminder that provision, hearing and sight are all gifts from Allah. This page intentionally separates the translated Quran text from IHSAYA's short educational summary.
The Surah opens by affirming that all authority belongs to Allah, who created life and death to test human conduct.
It repeatedly points to the order of the heavens and the earth as evidence of a Creator worth reflecting on.
It warns that denial of the Hereafter carries consequences, while gratitude for provision, hearing and sight is due to Allah alone.
