Understanding Al-Mutaffifin

Al-Mutaffifin condemns people who demand full measure for themselves while cheating others, then contrasts the records and destinations of the wicked and righteous. It also reverses worldly mockery by showing final judgment of those who ridiculed believers. This page intentionally separates the translated Quran text from IHSAYA's short educational summary.

Fairness begins with measurement

Everyday trade becomes a test of whether a person wants justice only for himself.

Records reveal character

Two records symbolize the accumulated direction of a person's life.

Mockery does not settle truth

Believers may be laughed at temporarily, but ridicule is not final judgment.

Reflection prompts

  • Where do I demand fairness for myself but quietly give less to others?
  • Does fear of being mocked change what I know is right?
