Understanding At-Takwir

At-Takwir depicts the cosmic collapse of the Last Day, exposes buried wrongdoing, and then affirms the trustworthiness of the messenger who brought revelation. It closes by reminding people that human willing exists under Allah's greater will. This page intentionally separates the translated Quran text from IHSAYA's short educational summary.

The created order will not remain forever

Sun, stars, mountains and seas are shown changing dramatically at the end.

Hidden injustice becomes visible

The buried infant is asked for what crime she was killed, exposing violence that people tried to hide.

The messenger is trustworthy

The revelation is defended as a reliable message, not madness or secretive speculation.

For detailed interpretation, historical discussion or legal/religious conclusions, consult reliable tafsir and qualified scholarship. This section is IHSAYA editorial/reflection material, not tafsir, a fatwa or a substitute for qualified scholarship.

Reflection prompts

  • What injustice do people normalize because it is hidden from public view?
  • What part of creation do I treat as permanent even though it is temporary?
